Arthur Chan is an innovative and respected medical affairs leader with 20 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He has successfully built teams and launched products in many therapeutic areas with a decade of focus in eyecare. Arthur is currently vice president of Medical Affairs at Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, and has had prior leadership roles at Novartis, Alcon, Bausch and Lomb and Insightec. He obtained a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta, a PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Washington, and an executive MBA from St. Joseph’s University. Arthur holds multiple patents, is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s University’s Haub School of Business, and is on several advisory boards of medical affairs societies. He recently received the Ophthalmic World Leaders’ Catalyst Award, a peer recognition given to an individual that contributed significantly to helping others advance their careers in eye care while advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field.
